We’ve created www.skipthedial.com because…we care. We can’t help it. We just can’t get enough music, whether we’ve been listening to the same album for a decade or will be anxiously awaiting its release for the next 6 months. We also can’t help talking about it all - what shows to see, what albums to hear - what attracts or repulses us immediately, and what we can or can’t warm up to. So we thought we’d share….and maybe help you tune in to the very thing you’ve been looking for.

We also love the unique musical offerings of our fair Windy City, and we love that the bands and artists we love ALSO love to come to our city and play their songs for us. We REALLY love that.

Love is nice.

Honesty is nice, too. Some seemingly nice-sounding things we don’t always like. Sometimes they’re even painful. Some things sound downright ugly - in some cases, brutally, profoundly, NOT NICE. But we love them anyway. So while you might not think that every single thing we think or say is nice, we can promise you that it will be honest, and it will come from our heart of hearts.
